Hi friends and family,
My father passed away from pancreatic cancer in November 2015, less than two months after his diagnosis. The disease came on fast and without warning, leaving little time for the conversations and healing I had hoped might still come.
This year, I’ve been invited to run in the Chicago Marathon with Project Purple. Project Purple supports pancreatic cancer patients and families while funding research for better treatments and outcomes, and I’m incredibly honored to run with their team.
To participate, I’m required to raise $3,500, which will go directly toward advancing pancreatic cancer research and supporting those (and their families!) currently facing this diagnosis.
Running has for a long time been a way for me to work through difficult things, and this marathon feels like a meaningful way to honor my dad, keep his memory close, and help bring awareness to a disease that can change lives far too quickly.
Thank you for being here and for supporting me in any way you can. Whether that’s through a donation, sharing this page, or cheering me on along the way, I love and appreciate you.
See you in CHICAGO!
