This story began many years ago, when I signed up for an
Ironman triathlon in search of accomplishing what, in my mind, seemed impossible. Since that first race, my girls (Elizabeth,
Annie, and Molly) have been nothing but supportive, traveling and accommodating
family vacations in concert with endurance events.
Sadly, our story has forever been changed - but this doesn’t
end the story, it only takes a different path - and ours is one of unyielding
love, resilience, and the undying spirit of our beloved Molly. This journey is no longer just about crossing
finish lines; it's about celebrating a life that shone brilliantly and the
legacy that endures beyond it. I have embarked on the Abbott World
Marathon Majors journey - 7 marathons around the world. I completed the Chicago marathon in October (pictures above!) - next up is Boston on April 20th and then Berlin in September of 2026. That will leave New York, Tokyo, London, and Sydney in the next few years. This journey is fueled by the laughter, courage, and the spirit
of our sweet Molly, whose presence will forever be the wind at my back, and her role model and older sister Annie, who will cheer loud enough for Molly to hear her.
Though Molly is no longer physically with us, her indomitable spirit and zest for life continue to inspire us every day. We are committed to keeping her legacy alive by sharing her story and supporting causes that mattered to her gigantic heart.
