A MESSAGE FROM Nat’s Run for Chicago Youth
My name is Nathalie Calderon and I am thrilled, honored, and excited to run the 2023 Chicago Marathon in support of Students Run Chicago (SRC). SRC is a youth development program that provides students across Chicago the opportunity to improve their health, receive mentorship, and develop character while training for the completion of the Chicago Marathon.
I grew up in Los Angeles, CA where I was involved in a very similar program, Students Run Los Angeles (SRLA). This program shaped me in many ways and has cultivated the lives of many youth across Los Angeles, including long-time friends, siblings, and mentors. As a Charity Runner with SRC, I want to continue a mission, from the West Coast to the Midwest, to inspire youth across Chicago to pursue ultimate achievements and break barriers. This will be my 1st ever World Major Marathon and wouldn’t want to train and support it any other way!
SRC participates in the Chicago running series starting early spring with the Shamrock Shuffle, running into Summer with the Bank of America Chicago Half Marathon, and culminating with the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. SRC is free for all students and are provided with coaching, mentorship, and athletic gear.
The program is supported by Charity members, donators, and partners and as students pursue this journey, SRC appreciates all and any support to continue cultivating the lives of youth across Chicago.
Thank you so much for your support and donation! You are making a difference in the lives of students across Chicago and bringing us one step closer to the finish line!
