The YMCA has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Some of my fondest childhood memories were attending summer camp at the YMCA, in Hackensack, New Jersey. YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, still apply today and have continued to guide me into adulthood. As an adult, I continued to utilize the YMCA programs and facilities through classes and programs. As a parent, the YMCA provided resources and opportunities for my son, Jaden to learn, grow, and thrive.
As a Head School Nurse in Edison Township Public Schools in NJ, I understand the importance of bridging student's healthcare and education. I encourage my students to use the Edison YMCA community because it's a safe environment that provides spiritual support, educational programs, and overall well-being through physical fitness.
I am an ambassador for Team YMCA of Edison, Metuchen, Woodbridge, and South Amboy in the NYC marathon on November 3, 2024. I will also run in honor of my loving mother, Joann Boyd. My mother was a LUPUS warrior, fighter, and MY HERO! One of our cherished moments together was watching the NYC Marathon as a teenager.

Your donation allows the YMCA to continue to provide its services to all in need, last year, the YMCA provided more than 1000 families with financial assistance with:
More than 10,000 items of groceries to kids and families in need.
Provided 3,350 children with essential, life-saving skills through our Safety Around Water and swim lessons.
Provided summer camp scholarships to nearly 300 kids, with priceless experiences and memories to last a lifetime!
Nurtured 600 kids in our child care center(s) and served more than 800 school-aged children in our afterschool programs.
Welcomed over 2,000 seniors in wellness classes and social activities and provided a free membership to those, over the age of 90!
Provided financial assistance to 1027 community members, ensuring everyone could access our programs and services, regardless of ability to pay.
