As a Marine Corps veteran from a family that has served and supported our country, this is not just any charity. I also have family members who have served in the Chicago Police Department and one who just joined in. I ask that you support me in this major event, but most of all support the brave men and women who serve and protect us on the frontlines every day. Please show your support for me as well as them.
This is a huge opportunity to participate in a marathon in my own city of Chicago, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me and a future motivation for my kids.
My father has run many marathons since I was a kid, and so has one of my brothers. And now it's time for me to take on the torch and pass it down to my kids. So that one day, they can follow our steps for a future to come. This will be my first time running a marathon and with your support, this will be an amazing adventure. The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is a qualified 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen Chicago Police heroes. The Foundation provides support and financial assistance to the families of Chicago Police Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
