A MESSAGE FROM Patrick’s Chicago Fundraiser
Hey Everyone! I am excited to announce that I will be training for and running the 2025 Bank of America Chicago marathon. Growing up, I never enjoyed running. I commonly associated it with punishment or conditioning for other sports. But in recent years, I’ve grown to love it for the challenge it provides and the opportunity to constantly improve. Having competed in multiple 5Ks, 10Ks, and two half marathons, I’m excited to take the next step and compete in my first ever marathon.
One thing that drew me to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon was the opportunity to support charitable giving. I will be running for team CASA of Cook County! CASA is a nonprofit and national organization who has a unique role in attending to the needs of children in the foster care system. Children in the foster care system are victims of abuse or neglect, and CASA volunteers are assigned to monitor their welfare and legally represent their needs in the interests. CASA's role is unlike any other organization, and they reach children who would otherwise be without help.
The extension of their reach is heavily dependent on the number of their volunteers and the magnitude of their resources. Please help me help this disadvantaged population.
My wonderful mother has worked as a CASA advocate so I’ve seen first hand how important this work is. Please help me in my fundraising goal!
