A MESSAGE FROM Peter Land

I'm running the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon on November 3 to raise funds for Sandy Hook Promise, a national nonprofit organization based in Newtown, Conn., led Mark Barden and Nicole Hockley, whose children, Daniel and Dylan, were killed in the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

Mark and Nicole mustered the strength to turn tragedy into something incredibly meaningful. Sandy Hook Promise is non-partisan. Its mission is to educate and empower young people and adults to “know the signs” and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others. Simply put, Sandy Hook Promise saves lives.

My goal is to raise $26,000 – or $1,000 for each student and educator who lost their lives that day at the school.
