A MESSAGE FROM Pooja runs for Planned Parenthood!
I am so honored and excited to run my 5th NYC Marathon with Planned Parenthood this fall. Anyone who knows me knows that women's rights, healthcare, and equity are my biggest passions and what gives me purpose in everything I do. I am so proud to have gone to Barnard, where I learned about the nuances and history of the women's movement and why feminism benefits everyone.
This year will surely be one of the most critical years for abortion access and reproductive freedom in history. Despite the challenges to abortion rights and reproductive healthcare nationwide, Planned Parenthood (and specifically, the Planned Parenthood of Greater New York) will be prepared to meet this moment and will ensure that anyone that walks through their doors will receive compassionate, non-judgmental care, no matter what.
Women's healthcare is not political, it's personal. What we do with our bodies, is our choice. There is no place for bans and restrictions of our bodily autonomy, as equal members of society. I hope you can support me in this mission, even $10 helps me reach my goal and our shared goal of expanding access to healthcare and abortion services to women everywhere. I am ready to run in power this fall with your help!
