A MESSAGE FROM Ryan's Eagles Autism Challenge Fundraising Page
On May 18, 2019 I will be joining members of the Philadelphia Eagles organization, fellow Aramark team members & thousands of others from the community to ride, run or walk in the Eagles Autism Challenge.
This is my first year participating in this event & I am really looking forward to fundraising for this fantastic cause - plus the challenge & experience of the day's events!
Here is a little more background about why I decided to participate.....
"My Healthiest Year Ever"
Earlier this year I set a personal goal to make 2019 "My Healthiest Year Ever" - both mentally & physically. After re-focusing myself on improving my physical health & picking up a new book, I felt I was off to a good start to the year. More recently I've thought about exploring ways to get more involved in social, or community-based activities as well & was looking for an activity to get engaged with.
After receiving an email about Aramark's support of the Eagles Autism Challenge & the opportunity to participate as a member of our organization's team, it felt like a perfect opportunity to get involved, learn more about the issues faced by those living with autism, & to help raise awareness & funds for research.
Going for a Ride
I have registered for the 15-mile bike ride & a fundraising goal is $500!
Obviously the goal is to raise as much as possible for this, so I am hopeful that I can hit $750 - and then $1,000 - and then $1,500 or greater.
I have been actively training & exercising since the start of the year & will begin incorporating a cycling regimen in the coming weeks as spring arrives & the weather gets warmer.
