Friends! I am thrilled to announce that I will be running the 2021 NYC Marathon to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. This truly is an incredible organization and every dollar raised will go to granting wishes for children with critical illnesses in the NYC area.
I’ve been lucky enough to be a wish granter with Make-A-Wish for the past two years - which means the money I raise this fall goes right to the budget I spend to grant kids’ wishes. Some of my favorite wishes from the past year have included:
- Helping raise money for an awesome charity creating custom clothing for kids with cancer (shoutout @j_zips )
- Planning a tropical honeymoon for the sister of a wish kid to “thank her for all the time she spent in the hospital”
- Sending countless kids on trips down to Disney World / planning their first time ever getting on an airplane to go see their extended family
Raising $7,500 is a big ask, so I promise no donation is too small. For anyone who donates over $200, I’ll put you on an email chain to update you on the wishes I’m granting with your donation. For anyone who donates over $250, you get a video of me from the race every time I puke!
