A MESSAGE FROM Sal Pal's Fundraiser for Point of Pride
My name is Sal Palmero. I'm a farmer and a runner (and sometimes a goblin) and I'll be running the LA Marathon in March 2026 as part of the charity team for Point of Pride (look for my goblin horns!) I'm psyched to run with other trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive folks, and to be fundraising for Point of Pride, helping to generate funds that will give other folks access to the the type of gender-affirming and life-saving healthcare that I received a few years ago.
I started running after I had top surgery, and this form of movement went from being dysphoria-inducing and NOT FUN, to being one of my central passions and a way to fully embody my self as a trans nonbinary person.
Through the efforts of past charity run teams and other fundraising pushes, Point of Pride has been able to distribute $4,420,000 in financial aid and has helped 30,000 people in all 50 states and almost 130 countries receive gender-affirming support.
