Autism is a neurodevelopmental disability that affects typical brain development. This condition is characterized by difficulties with social skills, speech and nonverbal communication. 

My family, like so many families, is impacted by Autism. My brother, Rob, was diagnosed with the disorder almost 20 years ago. At the time, Rob had no speech and his development was impaired in every way.

With lots of therapy and perseverance, Rob is doing well. He is a senior in high school, he loves sports, and is passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles.

On May 18, 2019 I will join the Philadelphia Eagles organization and thousands of others from the community to ride, run or walk in the Eagles Autism Challenge.
