A MESSAGE FROM Sam’s Fundraising Page
Running for a Cause: Celebrating My 50th with After School Matters
This year, I’m lacing up my running shoes for more than just a race. As I prepare to run the Chicago Marathon, I’m dedicating this journey to a cause close to my heart: After School Matters (ASM).
ASM has been a big part of my family. My daughter Lily is an alumni, and Samantha is currently thriving in the program. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact ASM has on Chicago’s youth, providing them with opportunities to explore their passions, develop skills, and prepare for the future.
Turning 50 is a milestone, and I wanted to celebrate it by setting a personal challenge: completing my 2nd Chicago Marathon! To get there, I’ll also be running the Shamrock Shuffle and the Chicago Half Marathon. Each step of this journey is a testament to the determination and resilience ASM fosters in its participants.
My goal is to raise funds that will help ASM continue its vital work, giving more young people access to transformative experiences. Every dollar brings us closer to building a brighter future for Chicago’s youth.
I’m asking for your support to help me cross both the fundraising and marathon finish lines. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of countless young people.
Thank you for believing in me and in the power of After School Matters!
