Hi Friends! TLDR: Please help me raise funds as a charity runner to support the Brooklyn Free Clinic at my med school! If you know me, you know I've wanted to run the NYC marathon for a long time and now I have the perfect opportunity! The Anne Kastor Brooklyn Free Clinic (BFC) is a student-run clinic at SUNY Downstate, my medical school. I had the opportunity to volunteer with them as a first-year and it's one of the best experiences I've had during my medical education. Nearly everyone on campus is involved with the BFC in some manner and it's a cornerstone of student life. BFC aims to fill in some of the devastating gaps in our healthcare system and the patients it serves often have no other access to care. I've witnessed firsthand how important its efforts are and now have the privilege of representing the clinic as a charity runner.
