I am running the Chicago marathon on behalf of Strides for Peace a nonprofit organization. The organization works to fund programs in the city of Chicago that help curb the city violence issues and gun violence prevention, the funds would be going to our partners. Community programs that help the youth stay active and deterred from other influences. 


At the end of last year, I decided I’d run a 5k once a month as my 2023 New Year Resolution, then was asked to run the Chicago marathon this year  in support of the people and groups out there on the frontline working day in and day out trying to lead our young people.
