A MESSAGE FROM Team Guy's and Dolly's
About Dolly.
Dahlia Cortese is a sassy three and a half year old who loves to laugh, dance, watch Peppa Pig, and finds the joy in creating amazing patterns with anything that she can build. She is tenacious yet soft and sincere. She speaks her own language yet can quote entire movies and songs. She may be young, but it is quite evident that she is extremely insightful.
Besides working on all of Dolly's occupational, behavioral, and developmental therapies, we as a family work towards helping Dolly find her own place in this world, help to find her own voice, and find a sense of appreciation for all the things that make her unique and wonderful.
By doing this walk, we hope to accomplish so much more than raising funds. We hope to open the dialogue with family and friends who want to learn about autism and how it effects the lives of people who live it. We want to make a change in this world by supporting and advocating for neurodiversity. We want to support our beautiful, strong, and amazing daughter and walk along side her as she paves her own way. We are team Guys and Dolly's. We are team Dahlia.
A message from the Eagles organization:
On May 16, 2020 the Eagles organization and thousands of others from the community with join together to ride, run or walk in the Eagles Autism Challenge. This event is dedicated to raising funds for innovative research and programs to address the complex issues presented by the condition of autism. By providing the necessary resources to thought leaders, we can advance scientific breakthroughs. All participant-raised funds, 100 %, will go directly towards autism research and/or programs at beneficiary institutions, as together we shift from autism awareness to action. We hope you will consider making a donation towards the fundraising goal to help transform the lives of those affected by autism today and tomorrow. Thank you!
