A MESSAGE FROM Sarah Runs to Make a Difference
As an educator, I believe in the transformative power of education to shape lives, uplift communities, and create lasting change. Every day, I have the privilege of working with students who come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own story and aspirations. But no matter their challenges, I know they all share one thing in common: the desire for a better future.
That’s why I’m running in the 2024 Chicago Marathon to support RISE Chicago—an organization that’s been doing incredible work to advance educational equity, support teachers, and empower students in our city’s most underserved communities.
RISE builds primary schools in Angola, but what they really provide is access to education in places where there would otherwise be no opportunity for these children to go to school.
