A MESSAGE FROM Sophia
Please support me as I run in the TCS New York City Marathon (my first marathon!) to raise awareness of brain aneurysms and funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, a cause that is near and dear to my heart. I'll be running in memory of my loving mom and best friend, Jan Yannopoulos, who passed away unexpectedly in 2014 from a brain aneurysm. 

The funds that we raise together will allow other families to have access to education, resources, and prevention so that their loved ones can go on to live happy and healthy lives. I would hate for others to suffer the pain and loss my family had to go through. But there's great news: brain aneurysms are beatable and treatable if detected early. After my mom's passing I was fortunate enough to be tested, but the reality is it's not as simple for everyone else. Awareness can save lives. Thank you for helping me champion this cause!
