A MESSAGE FROM Talia is Running for Rescue Dogs | In Memory of Jeff Landman
I’m running the Los Angeles Marathon with Marley’s Marathon Team and I am raising money to support Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue!
I met Zach Skow and the team at Marley's Mutts in 2018. I was powerfully moved by the stories of the dogs at the rescue ranch. Many of them learning to love and trust humans again after suffering abuse and neglect. The work they do to give these dogs a second chance at life is awe-inspiring.
My father tragically passed away on March 8, 2021 from lung cancer. Every year, I make it my mission to raise money for an important cause in his honor. This year, I am doing it for the dogs!
My dad loved his dogs and was an advocate for rescue and adoption.
In 2018, my dad saw a puppy in the middle of the road eating a dead bird. He pulled over, picked her up and brought her home. The homeowners association wouldn’t allow more than 2 dogs in a home but he didn’t care. He saved Ella’s life and now Ella is my mother’s protector 
My dad would be proud to know that many neglected dogs will be paw-sitively impacted in his name
