Hello my name is Tanya Carson and I was too once a child of the state. I grew up in foster care until I aged out and signed myself back into the system when I was 18. I then received help to go to college and my first apartment. This will be my first Chicago Marathon and  I am running to support CASA of River Valley, an incredible organization dedicated to changing the lives of children who have faced abuse and neglect by training volunteers to stand by them as their voice in court. With your contributions I will be able to support these children who don’t have a voice just quite yet.
