In 2023 my Aunt Julie passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. My Aunt was always the fun loving type, making us laugh, building everyone up around her and sharing adventures. She made every member of our family feel special, understood and loved. Every time you would come to her with a challenge or problem she would always spin the most optimistic outlook on it and usually you would end up laughing so hard by the end of the conversation. Outside of our family she continued lifting up others teaching ESL students and even chairing her sunshine club at school. The sunshine club celebrated teachers whether it was a birthday, milestone in their life or honestly someone that needed to be lifted up. Her love of life was to be admired. In honor of my Aunt I am choosing to support Project Purple because I would like to see others fighting this disease lifted up and supported in her memory.

To continue the tradition of giving in Aunt Julie’s honor, a group of family and friends have formed the Sunshine Gang to continue honoring her commitment of charity and spreading good vibes. Passing it forward, one mile at a time! Thanks Y’all!
