"One day, I hope to run with my kids."  5 years ago, I thought those dreams were shattered.  Battling a chronic disorder, I did not know what the future held.  And while my prognosis and recovery from brain surgery was good being diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, I continue to battle.  While I have the strength left in me, my 2 runners, Catalina (13) and Joaquin (14) are joining me so we can run for those that can't.  

Running the Houston 1/2 Marathon on behalf of Steel Magnolia Moms - an organization dear to my heart.  Providing support to mothers with special needs children, it is the life support as they navigate motherhood.
