Hello friends! We are running the Chicago marathon together along with other family in dedication to Brittany's mom, Leslie, who passed away in August 2023 due to a rare form of lung cancer. In 2000, Leslie ran the Chicago marathon, so this race holds a special significance to us. Everyone who knew Leslie loved her upbeat spirit, kindness, compassion, and her absolute zest for life. She was an inspiration to every person she met, and this race is one way for us to honor her and carry on her legacy.
Leslie worked for eleven years at Calvary Christian School as both the admissions and marketing director. She was deeply immersed into the world of education and providing opportunities for families to pursue education was close to her heart. We have chosen to fundraise for The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT), whose mission is to secure quality education and emotional support for orphan and vulnerable children so that they may reach their full potential and thrive in their communities. Just like Leslie, we believe education has the power to change hundreds if not thousands of lives. Every dollar of your generous gift will go towards TFFT's scholarship program, teacher training, and life coaching for students in their program.
