Team GoForGabs is back for our 12th year!!  We are excited to be running and walking again with our friends and family!! Hartford Marathon race day is Saturday, October 19, 2024. We hope you will join us in doing the 5k or one of other events!!

GoForGabs was formed in 2013 with our first race in Hartford when our family and friends participated in the marathon and the kids’ fun run as part of the Connecticut Children’s team. Since then, we have together participated in several races and different events, running 100's of miles and raising nearly $100,000 for various groups in support of pediatric cancer research. 

Only a few of us are still running marathons (or running at all), yet Gabriella continues to bravely “run" her personal marathon and fight her battle. And because she does, Team GoForGabs continues to raise money for CT Children’s and pediatric cancer research. Cancer and the related impact of its treatments continue to impact our family in ways that we could have never fully imagined.

GoForGabs is our way to honor: 

* Gabriella, our daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and warrior, who continues to fight every single day;

* our family and friends who have been by our side through each reoccurrence, surgery and treatment over the last 16 years; 

* all families who have experienced having a child with cancer. 

It is a forever changing experience and we pray for everyone battling this horrible disease. 

We hope you will join the 2024 GoForGabs Team to run or walk with us on Saturday, October 19. If you are unable to join us on race day, please consider making a donation to help us to raise money for CT Children’s and all the care and support they provide to their pediatric patients and their families.
