B*CURED's mission is to END BRAIN CANCER by raising awareness and funding innovative research grants.
B*CURED (Brain Cancer Understanding, Research, Education & Development). Since it was founded in 2008, B*CURED has awarded 45 grants to investigators searching for a cure for brain cancer at nationally ranked universities and hospitals. Over 700,000 Americans are living with a brain tumor, and 89,000 new patients will be diagnosed in 2023. B*CURED is an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) organization. All monies donated go directly to research.
B*CURED has participated in 12 marathons. Outside of their fundraising event each year, marathons are the organizations greatest fundraising effort.
B*CURED is located in Greenwich, CT and is run by the executive board; Co-Presidents Karena Bailey and Kristin Duda, Co-Founder Melissa Salamé, Grant Director Mary Russell, and Treasurer Julie Karish.
