Bo's Place exists to offer support and community to those who have experienced the death of a loved one.
A non-profit, free-of-charge bereavement center, Bo’s Place offers multiple grief support services for adults, children and families, and provides education and resources for those who assist people in grief.
Bo’s Place operates on the belief that it is helpful and healing for grieving children and adults to share their stories, memories, experiences, thoughts and feelings with those who can understand their journey. Bo’s Place offers the only free on-going grief support program in the greater Houston area for children and their families.
Bo’s Place is excited to participate in the 2027 Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon and We Are Houston 5K as a Run for a Reason Charity.

How can you participate?
HERO Entry: Sign up for the Chevron Houston Marathon or Aramco Houston Half Marathon and pay the registration fee + make a $350 tax deductible donation to Bo’s Place to secure your spot.
Fundraise For Registration (FFR) Entry: Sign up for the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon or We Are Houston 5K and commit to donate or fundraise a minimum to secure your spot ($650 for marathon and half marathon, $250 for 5K).
Just Fundraise: No running required! Create a personal fundraising page and appeal to family and friends to support the mission of Bo’s Place.
When you donate or fundraise a minimum of $350, you will be considered a HERO for Team Bo’s Place! HERO benefits include:
o Private pre-race restrooms
o HERO goodie bag
o HERO back bib
o Post-race massage
Why Run for Bo’s Place?
1 in 13 children in Texas will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. Your support provides bereaved children and their families with the support they need when they need it most. Each mile that you run ensures no one has to grieve alone.
