The Council for Responsible Sport helps events and their communities make sport a force for good. Through our Responsible Sport Certification, we’ve worked with more than 240 events worldwide to reduce waste, cut carbon, and build more inclusive race experiences. Our mission is to transform events into beacons of social and environmental excellence. We're empowering communities, athletes, participants, and organizers to make every event a step towards a better planet.  

Every dollar raised through the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon supports our Opportunity Fund that helps emerging and under-resourced events earn Responsible Sport Certification.
