"It was an honor to run for such a great cause!! I specifically chose to run for you all because I am a Mental Health Advocate. As someone who has dealt with anxiety/ panic attacks, I know how hard it is to see the light at the end of the tunnel at times. I'm currently studying to become a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I hope that many more people, especially underserved populations and people of color, receive the help they need and deserve. I can't wait to be a part of playing a direct role in the care of patients. As you mentioned, the needs are extreme right now. Thank you for all that you do in the fight for Mental Health!!"

Through faith-based Counseling, Education and Collaboration, we are the bridge for individuals and families to experience life-changing solutions and we cannot do this without your support. The ongoing pandemic has created a mental health crisis in this country fueled by ongoing hopelessness, anxiety, isolation and the unknown. According to mental Health America, Texas ranks 51st (including Washington DC) in access to mental health services- the very lowest ranking and Texas ranks 3rd in prevalence of mental illness. Texas also has the highest uninsured rate in the country at 18.4%- no other state is over 15%. The needs are CRITICAL right now. These statistics MUST change for a healthy future. Counseling Connections offers in-person and telehealth services, with licensed clinicians, on a HIPAA compliant platform that accepts insurance and cash payments. We believe one’s ability to pay should not prevent them from receiving quality mental healthcare. Our HOPE Fund provides free and reduced counseling services to the most vulnerable in our communities. In the last 10 years, more than $1.8 million in free and reduced mental health services have been provided thanks to donors like you. Your support will help a neighbor in need, provide hope and help save lives. Thank you!
