As someone who has dealt with anxiety/ panic attacks, I know how hard it is to see the light at the end of the tunnel at times. I'm currently studying to become a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I hope that many more people, especially underserved populations and people of color, receive the help they need and deserve. Our purpose is to inspire HOPE while advancing mental health and wellness through Counseling, Education and Prevention services. According to Mental Health America, Texas ranks 51st (including Washington DC) in access to mental health services- the very lowest ranking and Texas ranks 3rd in prevalence of mental illness. Texas also has the highest uninsured rate in the country at 18.4%- no other state is over 15%. The needs are CRITICAL right now. These statistics MUST change for a healthy future.  Counseling Connections offers in-person and telehealth services, with licensed clinicians, on a HIPAA compliant platform that accepts insurance and cash payments.  We believe one’s ability to pay should not prevent them from receiving quality mental healthcare. Our HOPE Fund provides free and reduced counseling services to the most vulnerable in our communities. In the last 11 years, we have provided $2.1 million in free and reduced mental health services have been provided thanks to donors like you.
