Our friend Peyton was diagnosed as a child with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a terminal muscle wasting disease. During the school year, Peyton had to drop out of college because his health began to decline. Help us raise awareness and research funding to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We need to find a cure to save Peyton.
Team Lopes Run for Peyton is a group of Grand Canyon University (GCU), the Lopes, college students who are seeking to help our friend. He is not only a friend but a brother to our Team Captain, Logan. Lopes Run for Peyton supports Peyton's Project.
Peyton's Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and medical research funding for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a severe terminal muscle-wasting disease. The charity was inspired by a young boy named Peyton, who was diagnosed with DMD at the age of 6. Peyton’s Project works to support research efforts, provide financial assistance to families for medical needs not covered by insurance, and advocates for the Duchenne community.
Peyton’s Project engages in various fundraising activities, including special events like marathons, galas, and community challenges. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, visit our official website at Peytons-Project.org or email at PeytonsProjectDMD@gmail.com
