The mission of Brewing Opportunities, dba Gerry's Cafe is to operate a community destination, offering craft food and beverages, prepared and served by employees, twenty-two and older, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

Gerry's Cafe raised the start-up funds as a new non-profit and was able to open its flagship cafe on August 26, 2023.  The cafe proudly employs over 35 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has become a favorite spot in the community.  By employing these individuals, Gerry's Cafe is helping to reduce the staggering national unemployment rate of 80% for people with disabilities. We are giving opportunities to individuals who were previously deemed 'unhireable' by other businesses.
