A MESSAGE FROM Houston Area Parkinson Society

Houston Area Parkinson Society (HAPS)

This year marked 28 consecutive years that HAPS participated as an official charity in the Chevron Houston Marathon’s Run for a Reason Program. We had more than 200 participants sign up as runners, walkers, cheerers, and fundraisers to help raise awareness of Parkinson's disease.

By using a whole-human approach to community building, HAPS reduces the fear and isolation associated with a Parkinson’s diagnosis. For over 45 years, we have offered free therapeutic exercise and support groups, social services, and education to families affected by Parkinson’s disease in eight Houston-area counties.

There is still time to help us meet our fundraising goal.
All donations will help fund HAPS services in our community.
