The Houston Marathon Foundation is creating a legacy for all Houston area runners, especially those who run, volunteer and support the Houston Marathon weekend events.

We hope to represent each of you in everything we do from after-school running programs, rebuilding parks and trails, health and wellness initiatives, making running accessible to athletes of ALL abilities and for the development of US distance running.  

We are committed to making Houston stronger through running.

    2019 Houston Marathon Race Weekend

    The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon held every January in Houston, Texas. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon and a 5 km race.
