Community leaders established the Houston SPCA in 1924 to meet the needs of animals in Houston, and we have always put their care and well-being first in everything we do.
An iconic Houston nonprofit, our organization has grown along with our beloved city, and we have continually adapted our efforts to help the animals in our community best. Since our inception, Houston SPCA has saved and provided services for millions of animals.
Our mission is to improve and protect the lives of animals in our community and to alleviate their suffering and abuse.
We provide a comprehensive array of services: animal cruelty investigations, 24-hour injured animal rescue ambulance, disaster/emergency response, a public Veterinary Clinic, pet adoptions, foster care, rehoming, veterinary care, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, humane education, community outreach, veterinary partnership, and much more.

- Fundraise for registration
* Runners commit to our fundraising minimum of $300 to $600, depending on your race of choice. The Houston SPCA will cover your race entry fee once your fundraising commitment is met!
- HERO registration
* Purchase your entry at a reduced price and pay a one-time donation of at least $350 to fast-track the process! Plus, you can still fundraise after registration.

* Not sure you want to run, but would still like to support the Houston SPCA? Say no more! You can just contribute to or host your own fundraiser!
