The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is honored to be an Official Charity Partner of the Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon on October 14, 2023. 

JAF is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most. JAF is committed to assisting patients of all ages, any type of cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. 

Cancer-related income reduction or loss combined with high treatment costs can lead to financial and emotional stress as families struggle to cover everyday expenses. JAF grants reduce financial barriers and help patients access or complete their cancer treatments. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources towards battling the disease, the Foundation helps alleviate stress by providing grants to assist with everyday living expenses. This relief allows the Foundation's grant recipients to focus on their cancer treatment and not on the financial and emotional distress that comes with it. JAF provides support to cancer patients in the following ways: household expenses, extraordinary needs, food, treatment transportation, and wellness.

Team JAF is recruiting athletes of all abilities (Marathon, Half Marathon, Team 26.2 Relay, and 5K), fundraisers, and volunteers. To join Team JAF* and help support New England cancer patients and their families, click Participate With This Charity on the left to get started.

*By applying to Team JAF, you commit to the following fundraising minimums based on the race option you choose as follows: Marathon ($750), Half Marathon ($500), 5K ($400), and Individual Team 26.2 Relay Participants ($400). If you have already registered through HMF Events and paid the entry fee, fundraising minimums for Team JAF athletes are as follows: Marathon ($400), Half Marathon ($300), 5K and Individual Team 26.2 Relay Participants ($250).

For All Athletes:

·        All Team JAF Charity Athletes must be registered by Friday, September 15, 2023.

·       There is no race day registration or packet pickup. Runners can pick up their bibs at the HMF Fitness Expo at Packet Pickup – October 12 (4:00pm-7:00pm) or October 13 (12:00pm-8:00pm.
