K9 Youth Alliance is a grassroots nonprofit powered by the belief that every kid deserves to feel the love of a dog, and every dog deserves the chance to be loved.  Our programs empower youth from under resourced communities and enrich the lives of shelter dogs through the human animal bond.

Now in our 10th year of programs, we've helped over 210 young people learn to become teachers and advocates for shelter dogs, at the same time equipping over 325 shelter dogs with skills and training to help them find their forever homes. 

By partnering with LA Animal Services, we bring much needed enrichment and advocacy to longer stay shelter dogs, showing the world that these dogs, too, have so much love to give. 

Our programs are 100% funded by the public, and the LA Marathon is fast becoming a major piece of our revenue. Join us!
