2023 was quite the year for us. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of July while I was 24 weeks pregnant. I completed 6 out of 16 rounds of chemotherapy and then gave birth to our warrior baby, Bodie, at the end of October. I finished chemotherapy in early February and had surgery in early March where I found out I had a complete pathological response to treatment (CANCER FREE)! I'll start 20 rounds of radiation in April.

While I was pregnant and going through treatment, it was a struggle just to walk across the room. The second I felt like I could start being more active postpartum I started running (something I have never enjoyed but am learning to love). While I won't be winning any medals any time soon, it feels so great to move! 

I'm excited to run the 2024 CT Race in the Park and if you can, I'd love for you to join my team - "Katie's Wolf Pack". I will be running the 5K, there is also a 4K/1 Mile walk option.
