La Casa Norte’s mission is to serve youth and families confronting homelessness by providing access to stable housing and comprehensive services that create lasting change. We believe housing is the foundation for stability, opportunity, and long-term success.
Now in our 23rd year, La Casa Norte is one of Chicago’s largest youth-focused social service organizations, with a staff of 91 and a growing reach across the city. In 2019, we served 5,000 clients agencywide. By 2024, that number had grown to nearly 25,000, reflecting both rising need and our ability to respond at scale.
Through years of development and refinement, La Casa Norte has built a Housing First, Continuum of Care model that is bilingual, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and impactful. Our coordinated network includes youth drop-in spaces, 24/7 emergency shelters, and short-term, transitional, and permanent supportive housing. These programs are strengthened by case management and holistic wraparound services that help youth and families not only secure housing, but build stability and move forward with confidence.
