OUR RUNNERS

BRIAN GASE
NYC will be Brian’s 3rd marathon but first since 2008. He has run for fun most of his life but this year is extremely proud to run for a bigger purpose and represent the MWCT. A long-term Rivian employee, his team currently supports the conservations efforts of the MWCT in Kenya with 10 electric Rivian vehicles. This includes an awesome, custom-built Safari vehicle made from an R1T.

With Rivian, random adventures, or training for a marathon Brian has the complete love and support from his wife Kelli and three sons Brennan, Beckett and Kiernan. He couldn’t train and compete this year without their support, however when it comes to having running partners, that job is for his 2 dogs Leroy and Olive. Even if they aren’t much help on the long runs.

MARK SOMEN
Mark is running his 11th NYC marathon with MWCT and 18th marathon overall.
He sits on the board of MWCT and according to Mark “the NYC marathon is one of the best weekends of my year. And how much more meaningful when it involves supporting all MWCT’s incredible programs?”

CRAIG ANNIS
Father of four boys and a passionate runner, Craig has completed four marathons, including two majors. This year, he will tackle his 5th marathon and 3rd major in New York. Committed to completing all six World Marathon Majors for charity alongside his son Clayton. Craig rediscovered his love for running in adulthood with his wife Kate after a hiatus following his collegiate career as a Division 1 sprinter and jumper. Running is more than a hobby for him; it's a lifelong passion and a family affair.

CLAYTON ANNIS
Clayton Annis, a Morristown, New Jersey native and College of the Holy Cross student, is excited to join the NYC Marathon team. Running has been a shared passion with his father since childhood, leading to countless training miles and marathon finishes together, including the Marine Corps and London marathons. Their goal to complete all six major marathons before his father turns 60 is a driving force. This opportunity to run for a great cause while progressing towards their shared dream is truly inspiring.

ANGELO BACA
Angelo Baca is a cultural activist, scholar, filmmaker and currently a doctoral student in anthropology at New York University. After running in support of this wonderful cause last year, he is ready to conquer the Big Apple once again.

Can't run the marathon yourself? you can still be part of the action!
Donate to our team and cheer on our runners as they push their limits for a great cause.

Every stride counts!
