Since 1999 the Melanoma Education Foundation has been saving lives by promoting greater awareness of melanoma and the importance of early detection by self-examination of the skin. Services are delivered three ways:
- Educating high school and middle school health & wellness teachers about melanoma and providing them with free video lessons to educate their students in single class sessions.
At last count over 1700 schools in all 50 states were using our lessons.
- Maintaining and continuously updating two educational web sites, skincheck.org for the general public and melanomaeducation.net for health educators.
- Conducting online outreach talks via Zoom, regional in-person teacher training and facial sun damage screenings.
We currently have some remaining bibs available for interested
