A MESSAGE FROM Organization for Autism Research


The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a national charity located in Arlington, Virginia.  Parent founded and led, OAR set out to use applied science to answer questions that parents, families, individuals with autism, teachers, and caregivers confront daily.  No other autism organization has this single focus.


The RUN FOR AUTISM program serves as OAR’s signature fundraising program.  Since 2003 over 8,500 people have participated in events ranging from 5K’s to ultramarathons, as well as triathlons, mud runs, and virtual races.  Together the RUN FOR AUTISM team have raised more than $8 million for autism research.


• Run for a cause greater than yourself - whether you have a personal connection to autism or not, having a purpose other that time or distance can make your miles meaningful. 

• Join a team - immediately become part of a group of over 1,000 runner and triathlons from around the world working together to support autism research.

    2021 Houston Marathon Race Weekend

    The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon held every January in Houston, Texas. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon.
