🌊 Save Our Shores (SOS) is a small but mighty grassroots nonprofit dedicated to protecting our ocean and coastline! 💙 We started in response to the threat of offshore oil drilling along the Central Coast and played a key role in the creation of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary 🐬.

Today, we:

🤝 Engage communities in hands-on stewardship
🚯 Lead outreach to reduce pollution
📢 Advocate for policies that protect our coasts and communities

In 2025, our staff and volunteers removed 13,378 pounds of debris 🗑️ from the Central California Coast — a record-breaking accomplishment that highlights the urgent need for this work.
