Solace House is a free, confidential, one-on-one counseling service for people who are in suicidal distress, have made a suicide attempt, engage in self-harm and/or have been bereaved by suicide. Additional services include family support, group bereavement counseling and free community awareness workshops and trainings. We have an office in Queens, New York and offer Telehealth to any resident of New York. For all information regarding our work, you can visit our website at www.solacehouseusa.org.  In the past year, we've had an increase in new clients, our current clients re-enter trauma and require additional support, and our staff have been forced to adapt to this pandemic, while also being a source of strength for so many. But the biggest challenge we have faced has been funding. We are so grateful to NYRR to be selected as a Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon, which allows us the opportunity to have runners represent our organization and raise the much-needed funds for free mental health care!
