New York Road Runners (NYRR) is a nonprofit with the aim of building healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running, which includes doing our part to ensure future generations have access to clean air, green spaces, and a healthy world in which to run.
We are thrilled to become the first major marathon in the industry to launch an entry method tied to sustainability efforts, providing runners the opportunity to run and fundraise for NYRR Team for Climate to showcase their commitment to protecting our environment. This is a group of dedicated runners who wishto help NYRR on its journey toward Net Zero by helping to reduce the Carbon Footprint of the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon.
New York Road Runners is partnering withAnew Climate, a global climate solutions leader, to use funds raised to purchase verified carbon credits for two improved forest management projects.
