We are less than 24 hours from the start of the 2025 Tampa Bay Frogman Swim, a 3.5-mile swim in the chilly waters of the bay in support of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community and our Gold Star families. We stand alongside them to remember and honor the legacy of their husband/dad/son/brother, our brothers, who gave their lives for our country.
This year, I am joined in the water by my Kellogg EMBA classmates Chris Sims (swimmer) and Sam Islas (my kayaker), Alina Danilchenko (swimmer), and Valeria Brigneti aka Mrs Indacochea (swimmer). Our support team will be led by Marina "Chief" Hayes, cheering us on alongside Victoria "Vyper" Yu, Mary Ann Brennan, Arman Gevorgyan, Tito Indacochea, and some of our respective family members.
It's going to be another long and cold swim, but having my teammates participate in this great event, learning more about the SEAL community, being with our Gold Star families, honoring our fallen, and immersed in the culture that makes the Special Operations community so unique is worth every second in the water. Nothing worth doing is easy, nor should it be done alone. Hoo yah!
Very Respectfully,
- V (Bobby)
