A MESSAGE FROM The Cade R. Alpard Foundation for Pediatric Liver Disease

The Cade R. Alpard Foundation for Pediatric Liver Disease was founded by Jennifer & Scott Alpard in 2003 when their son, Cade, underwent a life-saving liver transplant at age 1. At the time of the 2022 marathon, Cade will be a healthy 19-year-old studying Sports Management at Texas A&M University. Our foundation raises money for pediatric liver research and education and awareness for organ donation. Thank you for helping make our 15th year as a Houston Marathon Run for a Reason Charity, the best year yet!

2023 Houston Marathon Race Weekend

The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon held every January in Houston, Texas. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon.
