A MESSAGE FROM The Cade R. Alpard Foundation for Pediatric Liver Disease

The Cade R. Alpard Foundation for Pediatric Liver Disease was

founded by Jennifer and Scott Alpard after their son Cade received a liver transplant as an infant. The Cade R. Alpard Foundation raises awareness and funds to support research, organ donation and children and families affected by pediatric liver disease. For nearly two decades, the foundation has worked to advance research, treatment, and care for these children. Now celebrating its 19th year in the Houston Marathon’s Run for a Reason program, the foundation proudly honors Cade’s journey—now a healthy 23-year-old and Texas A&M graduate—by giving hope to others.

2026 Houston Marathon Weekend of Events

The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon held every January in Houston, Texas. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon.
