The mission of The Children's Assessment Center (the CAC) is to protect children, heal families, and prevent child sexual abuse by providing a professional, compassionate, and coordinated approach to the treatment of sexually abused children and their families and to serve as an advocate for all children in our community.

The CAC is the only children's advocacy center serving Harris County and one of the largest in the nation. It provides a safe haven to sexually abused children and their families – a place where they can receive the kind of care and treatment they so richly deserve. 

Our staff consists of specially trained experts who offer various types of treatment that are free of charge to the thousands of children who come to The CAC each year.

We call on our community to recognize the importance of prevention and education to protect all children from abuse. It is the responsibility of all adults to make sure children are safe in our community. Please join us to become part of the solution and raise awareness to prevent child sexual abuse in our community.
