Founded in 2016, the United MSD Foundation exists to cure Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD)—an ultrarare, fatal genetic condition—by funding breakthrough research, advocating for families, and driving community support worldwide.
We’ve built incredible momentum. From funding early gene therapy studies to launching a global MSD Biobank, our work has brought us to a historic milestone: in July 2026, NIH-sponsored MSD gene therapy clinical trials received official FDA clearance.
