I’m excited to announce that I’m running my last 2026 Chicago Marathon with the “old Greyhounds”. We are running in support of Opportunity Knocks which is a nonprofit in Chicago's near-west suburbs.
Opportunity Knocks (OK) provides day programs focusing on improving life skills and social job training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (the Warriors).
Having been a friend, supporter, and board member for the last 13 years, joining the OK marathon team is a natural fit.
The “Old Greyhounds” are Skinny, Rick, George, and Mark. We have run 129 marathons combined. We have been together for over 33 years of running the streets of Chicago . This is our “Last Dance”.
We are ready to cross the finish line to support an organization that means the world to us.
I would be so grateful for your support in reaching our fundraising goal so the Warriors can continue taking on their own challenges and achievements.
I thank you.
